What are the differences between bridge cranes and gantry cranes?
Difference 1:
1. The bridge crane is a lifting equipment that is horizontally framed over the workshop, warehouse and material yard for material lifting.
2. Gantry crane is a kind of bridge crane, also called gantry crane. Mainly used for outdoor cargo yard, stock yard cargo, bulk cargo handling operations.
Difference 2:
The bridge crane is shaped like a bridge because its two ends are located on tall concrete columns or metal supports.
The metal structure of the gantry crane is like a portal frame. Two supporting feet are installed under the main beam, which can walk directly on the track on the ground. Both ends of the main beam can have overhanging cantilevers.
